Ayman Makarem lives in an apartment where all his neighbors are old tenants, and have been living in the building for about forty years, so it’s hard for him to form social relations with them.
According to Ayman a neighbor is someone you live next to, but if you live that close to certain people you get to know each other, you start to frequently see each other and automatically form these social relations.
Ayman has been living in Hamra Street for a year now, after attending college there. He gets most of his “neighborhood gossip” from his barber, and he feels that Hamra is like a little village where everyone knows each other. He likes the neighborhood mostly because of its community, “it’s very easy to talk to people, and everyone has his own story, and are eager to hear yours”
