Handbuilding Ceramics Workshop Jarak Online x Carli Boisjolie from Studio Sans Racines.

In this beginner-level class, you will create a unique and simple ceramic cup, bowl, or pot using the pinch handbuilding technique.
During the first session on May 18, you will form you piece with clay and use tools to create texture.
Then, you will decorate your pieces using food-safe glazes during the second session on May 25th, after your pieces have dried and been bisque-fired in the kiln. Also, you will get a glimpse of what working in a ceramics studio is like and learn about ceramics processes and terminologies.

Description

The class fees include clay, tools, glaze, and firing. Instructions will be in English. Places are limited, with a maximum of 12 spots per class.
Please bring a hand towel and a sponge, and wear clothes that can get dirty.
Tools will be shared among all of you, but you are welcome to bring your own tools as well.

-Dates: Saturday 18 and 25 May
-Duration:
3 hours on May 18th, from 11am – 2pm
2 hours on May 25th, from 11am – 1pm
-Fees: 100$ for the entire workshop
-Number of students: 12 maximum
-Location: Nathalie Khayat Studio, in the same building as Les Tresses near Sassine Square in Beirut, 1st floor

-Please bring: A towel, sponge, and any tools you would like to use
-Please Wear: Clothes that can get dirty
